Background:Mairéad Déiseach is a mezzo-soprano who studied singing to Diploma level with Jody Beggan in the DIT Conservatory of music. She is a Feis Ceoil prize winner for both solo and duet singing. Is múinteoir bunscoile í i Scoil Chualann i mBré. She is Co-Director of the National Children’s Choir as well as being the Musical Director of The Frascati Singers and is a regular soloist and conductor of Curtlestown Church Choir. A classically trained violinist, she also enjoys playing traditional music and likewise has long loved singing traditional Irish songs.

I sang this piece with Evelyn Deasy, Christine Deasy, Noreen Edmunds, John O’Leary, Martha Burton and Jacqueline O’Leary as backing vocals for the ‘Christmas with Curtlestown Choir’. This CD was recorded in 2002 and all the proceeds of its sales were shared with The National Children’s Hospital,Carabane and The Curtlestown Church Renovation Fund.
